17th Century Court record index from Kexholm County

Court records here indicate documents that were made from the 16th century to the middle of the 19th century. Minutes from the Council of Ministers' Court, the Court of Appeals and the Court of Appeals from the same period can also be counted as court records. Protocols from special courts (the property division courts, the state criminal courts, water courts, etc.) on the other hand, usually fall outside the definition of court records.

To facilitate the search for information in court registers, a court register called Tuokko was prepared. The register was made using the renovated (transcribed) district court books.

In this dataset you find court register data from historical Kexholm county that is in Russia, eastwards of modern Finland. The information in the dataset is from 17th Century. There are individual datasets for keyword index (hakusanat.csv), commoners' last names (ttsl.csv), nobility in Kexholm County (tth.csv) and Kexholm County locations (ttp.csv).
